There is an ancient tunnel that leaves even modern engineers in awe.
It was built a staggering 2,700 years ago.
This was a time with no GPS or compasses.
Yet, armed with only pickaxes, they carved through 533 meters of solid rock.
At the time, Jerusalem was in a desperate crisis.
They were besieged by an enemy army of 180,000 men.
If the city's water supply was cut off, everyone would die of thirst.
It was then that King Hezekiah gave a crazy order.
To save time, he ordered his men to dig through the massive rock mountain from both sides simultaneously.
In pitch-black darkness where they couldn't see an inch ahead, the workers relied solely on the sound of pickaxes from the opposite side.
It was a gamble where even the slightest miscalculation would mean ruin.
But finally, the workers from both sides met miraculously.
What is even more astounding is that the calculated height difference between the two ends, designed to let the water flow gently, was a mere 30 centimeters.
The life-saving water that passed through this tunnel poured out like a waterfall into one place.
Thus, a massive artificial pool was created.
This is the famous "Pool of Siloam."
700 years later, Jesus rubbed mud on the eyes of a blind man and said to him:
"Go, wash in the Pool of Siloam."
The miraculous water that pierced through the dark rock and saved a nation.
700 years later, it once again brought light to a man who had lived in darkness his entire life.
